Wonderful, Leisurely Weekend Cruises in Cape Town

Even if you don’t take your annual leave during December, the major holiday season in South Africa and Cape Town in particular, but you remain at work from Mondays to Fridays while the rest of Cape Town’s residents and holiday visitors relax and play, you still have a variety of golden opportunities to join others in having fun on weekend luxury boat cruises, operating from the V & A Waterfront.

Cruising On Board the Tigger 2 Royale

Our company, Tigger 2, was established in 1996. Our latest cruise boat, purchased in 2008, is called the Tigger 2 Royale, and it’s on board this sleek, white vessel that you’ll take your weekend cruises. Our routes take passengers from the V&A Waterfront to Clifton’s 4th Beach, passing near Robben Island, depending on last-minute weather conditions at the time.

Poor Weather Decisions

If the Cape Town weather is really inclement, our Skipper will cruise around Table Bay, or you may reschedule your weekend cruise or be refunded, if the alternative options aren’t suitable or possible. If your weekend cruise includes a meal, this may be served at our mooring at the V&A Waterfront when the Cape weather turns nasty for sailors or cruise passengers.

As indicated, the decision to proceed with cruises and which route would be best is entirely at the Skipper’s discretion, because he’s an experienced seaman, and passengers’ safety and comfort is paramount.

State-Of-The-Art Safety Measures

The safety equipment and measures aboard Tigger 2 Royale are of top class, and all comply with the South African Maritime Safety Authority’s (SAMSA) stipulations and regulations.

We must mention that being a modern dual-hull catamaran, the Tigger 2 Royale is particularly stable on the water when cruising. Ample power is supplied by two highly capable 530-hp turbo diesel inboard engines, enabling her to cruise smoothly and quite quietly across the ocean.

Our vessel is fitted with a state-of-the-art smoke and fire detection alarm system, while on-board safety equipment includes a 65-person life raft (the maximum number of passengers we carry on the Tigger 2 Royale), plus life jackets with lights.

Cruising on Weekends

We provide weekend and weekday private and non-private cruises, which offer a significant number of options. Nonetheless, a leisurely Cape Town cruise during a leisurely weekend is the perfect way to end the previous week or start the week ahead, whether you’re on leave or working hard during the end-of-year holiday season.
