Our sunset charter options allow for a range of superb services and budgets. We sail from the bay to Clifton’s fabulous Blue Flag 4th Beach and back again, taking in the sun setting gently over the Atlantic Ocean, and then docking at the V&A Waterfront again as night is about to fall and the Mother City’s twinkling lights are switched on to welcome our return.
Sunset Boat Cruise Options
Tigger 2 cruises may be booked on a non-private or private basis, the former being the most affordable of the two options. The streamlined 55-foot boat can accommodate up to 65 people for a sunset cruise without a sit-down meal service, or up to 39 people, lunch and/or dinner included.
- Non-private charter – Being non-private, you can look forward to meeting and socialising with new friends on board, if you wish.
- Private charter – the crème de la crème of sunset boat cruises on offer by Tigger 2.
Our Sunset Boat Cruise
It’s not surprising that this cruise is our most popular boat trip, since sunset is the traditional time to shake off the day’s demands, relax with a sundowner, and put the day to rest before doing whatever pleases you during the evening.

Upon boarding at the V&A Waterfront, you’ll be warmly welcomed with a glass of well-chilled Méthode Cap Classique, as we depart for our coastal cruise to Clifton. Additional drinks are available from our full cash bar. Snacks may be purchased on board.
When Weather isn’t Kind
Since the days of the early sailing vessels which rounded the Cape coast and the Cape of Storms en route to the East to trade, the weather and seas in our fairest Cape can be unpredictable. Clients should keep in mind that our sunset boat cruise’s route is as stated, weather permitting, the one factor that we cannot control.
Should inclement weather and rough seas prevent Tigger 2 Royale from embarking on the coastal route to Clifton, or cruising around the Bay, you may select an alternative date for your boat cruise.
