A Tigger 2 Royale Dinner Cruises in Cape Town
If you have not yet made a plan for your year-end celebrations, we recommend that you consider a Tigger 2 Royale dinner cruise, just one of the options available from our cruise charter company, similarly named Tigger 2. Our vessel is based at our mooring at Pier Head, T Jetty, (near the Red Clock Tower), in the Victoria Basin of the now world-famous, fabulous V&A Waterfront, one of Cape Town’s most significant attractions.
Preventative Protocols in Place
Although we have strict COVID-19 prevention protocols in place, our guests are understandably disinclined to gather en masse for an enormous year-end party and/or celebratory dinner, a more exclusive private charter cruise with fewer, select guests is nonetheless preferred by many of our happy passengers.
Limited Guest Numbers
This is an additional advantage of hosting a Christmas or New Year’s dinner cruise party aboard Tigger 2 Royale, where guest or passenger numbers per cruise are limited of necessity. The maximum number of 40 souls comprises the guests who can be accommodated for a seated, set place 3 or 4 course served meal. This applies now as well as in the pre-COVID-19 days, and it’ll probably be the case once populations build up sufficient resistance or immunity to the virus.
Up to a maximum of 65 guests can be accommodated for a buffet-type or canape and/or sushi platter menu, whilst the more formal, seated meal setting also offers menu choices, which include typical South African braai dishes. The duration and type of charters and voyages are chosen and booked by the function’s hosts.
Dinners are Served
Dinners are served at our mooring, about half an hour after the spectacular Cape Town sunset – the perfect way to conclude an exclusive, luxurious ocean cruise. Before dining, guests are welcomed aboard with a refreshing glass of chilled sparkling wine to start the occasion in year-end (or other) festive spirit. During the trip, a cash bar is available.
Thereafter, we set out on our cruises to Clifton’s fabled 4th beach or Granger Bay, passing sensational views of Table Mountain, Lions Head and historic Signal Hill, if the weather is fair. If not, we sail out into Table Bay and the Cape Town Harbour, at sunset. The weather, ocean conditions and our highly experienced skipper determine our route on the day, since passenger safety, comfort and enjoyment are paramount.
