Floating Restaurant Festivities

Human beings are naturally drawn to water – swimming pools, dams, lakes, ponds, rivers, and the oceans. Perhaps this fascination with bodies of water has to do with the fact that the human body is made up of about 80% water, or alternatively, that mankind is constantly aware, on a subconscious level, that nothing can survive without this life-sustaining liquid.

Depending on where it occurs and what it contains, humans utilise water for all sorts of purposes – drinking, washing, cleaning and hygiene, cooling and heating, exercising, therapy, travel, transporting cargo, sports, and leisure activities – notably yachting, power boating, and sailing.

Enjoying the Ocean

Cape Town is a thriving city and home to people who make use of the ocean to earn a living for tourism, for its natural beauty, and for leisure activities such as surfing, swimming, kayaking, and kite surfing. This breathtaking, beautiful Mother City is also the home of Tigger 2, our luxury charter boat company that offers a range of sensational opportunities to enjoy the Cape seas on board our flagship cruiser, the luxurious Tigger 2 Royale.

Delightful Dining with a Difference

Taking our guests sailing into the glorious Cape sunset is one of our most popular, very romantic cruise options, but we offer a great deal more to enjoy on the waters of the Cape seas. Tigger 2 Royale is also available for private charter as a first-class floating restaurant – the height of unusual, delightful dining with a difference.Floating Restaurants

Floating restaurants were once most closely associated with Hong Kong, where the island’s population outstripped the available living and commercial space. A seafood dinner aboard a floating restaurant in the waters of Hong Kong was and is a must and a novelty for tourists from afar.

You no longer have to travel to Hong Kong to enjoy on-board dining in a fabulous floating restaurant. We do it here in Cape Town, and we do it really well. On-board dining, while moored in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, is a luxurious affair – the best of both land and marine worlds brought to you by Tigger 2.

Ultra-modern and streamlined, Tigger 2 Royale is the perfect venue to entertain your special guests and share a superb meal with them in luxury and in private. You may choose between a sit-down, plated gourmet dinner or a more casual canapé and cocktail dinner. You also have the option to include a one-hour cruise around the commercial harbour to take in the other vessels and points of interest there. Dining in our own floating restaurant is fast becoming a must-do too.
