You may look longingly at the luxury cruise boats sailing about in the sparkling blue ocean waters off Cape Town, wishing that you could be on board, but brushing this dream away because you’re sure you’ll never be able to afford your own yacht and you’re under the impression that it’s way too expensive to charter such a fine vessel.
Don’t let go of your dream! While it may be completely misleading to indicate that ownership of an ocean-going yacht will be within your means, a private or non-private yacht’s charter price may be far more affordable than you imagine.
Non-Private Charters

Private cruise charters cost more because a private charter gives you exclusive use of the yacht and the selection of facilities available on board. You may be the sole passenger or you may get together a group of your choice, either as your guests or as fellow contributors for the private charter, making the cruise more affordable for you.
Depending on the number of private charter passengers, in groups of 1-20, 21-40, or 41-70, an hourly rate is charged, with a set rate for the first two hours, plus another rate per hour added on thereafter. These rates exclude on-board extras, such as refreshments, drinks, snacks, canapé platters, and braai, buffet style, or plated and seated meals served at a table.
Our modern, streamlined luxury cruise charter boat, the stunning 55-ft, diesel-powered Tigger 2 Royale is also available as a private floating venue, with or without the additional option of having a 1-hour cruise in Cape Town to take in the sights while dinner is served. If this option is not included, you can entertain your guests on board, in privacy, while docked at our mooring at the wonderful V&A Waterfront.
