Sunday Sundowner Dinner Cruises to See an Ocean Sunset

Almost anywhere in the western world, Sundays tend to be lazy days – days when it’s okay to rest, relax, sleep in, veg out, chill, nap, snooze or doze, and do as you please, without needing to offer excuses or reasons for doing precisely what you want, when you want. It’s your time – all yours.

Sundays are also an ideal time take a Tigger 2 Sunday Sundowner & Dinner Cruise, after suiting yourself by doing as you please during the day. Let’s be honest – enjoying a sundowner as the sun begins to set is ever so enjoyable.

Then there’s the matter of Sunday dinner. If you’ve not eaten a big Sunday lunch, or perhaps even if you have, by the time it’s evening and after enjoying a soothing sundowner, one’s appetite for a lovely meal tends to peak.

Sunday Sundowner & Dinner Cruise

Enter our Sunday Sundowner & Dinner Cruise on our flagship vessel, the elegant, sleekly styled Tigger 2 Royale – a 55-foot luxury diesel powered catamaran with a capacity of 65 passengers on informal cruises, or 40 passengers who book for a plated dinner that is served while all are seated.

Does the sound and thought of a Sunday Sundowner & Dinner Cruise aboard our Tigger 2 Royale appeal to you? It’s one of our latest non-private cruise offerings, and it is proving to be very popular already, which is hardly surprising, since our shorter sunset cruises are long-standing favourites. This new Sunday cruise departs from the V&A Waterfront at 17:00 (timed to coincide with the best sunset views).

Welcome Aboard

Upon boarding the Tigger 2 Royale, passengers are welcomed with a refreshing Aperol Spritz. The 3-hour cruise route takes guests to Clifton’s 4th Beach or Granger Bay, depending on the weather, passing Robben Island on the return cruise. The cruise’s route is decided by our Captain, an experienced Skipper who understands the Cape Town weather, wind, and seas.

Weather permitting, the Tigger 2 Royale will drop anchor at the selected ocean destination, whereupon dinner is served – exquisite canapé platters consisting of meats, sushi, seafood, or vegetarian fare prepared and plated by Balducci and/or Karibu (two lovely restaurants at the V&A Waterfront).

During the Sunday Sundowner & Dinner Cruise, music is supplied by DJ Didier, while our commercial drone photographer records stunning pictures via the drone’s unique, non-intrusive perspective. DVDs may be purchased and paid for separately at the end of your cruise.
