Sundays in laid-back Cape Town are leisurely days and also great days for visiting with family and friends to share a meal together or to eat out. Sunday dinner is typically the main meal event of the week because everyone involved has the time to dine at leisure – with pleasure.
From the 7th of October until the 23rd of December, our special Sunday Sundowner & Dinner Cruise is the ideal way to indulge in fine Sunday fare and bid farewell to another super Cape Town Sunday. You’re welcomed aboard with a refreshing Aperol Spritz to set the mood. During this super 3-hour Sunday cruise, on-board entertainment is provided by DJ Didier. A drone photographer records the Sunday event in DVD format, which is available for sale to passengers who want to have a record of their sensational Sunday.Next, Tigger 2 Royale sets off from the V&A Waterfront at about 17:00 or 17:30, depending on the time of sunset on the day. We sail to Clifton 4th Beach where we drop anchor to watch the sunset, while your informal dinner – a selection of beautifully presented canapé platters – is served, with the water gently lapping at the dual hulls of Tigger 2 Royale.
If the weather renders Clifton unsuitable, our skipper may reroute her to Milnerton and Blouberg, or failing this, cruise around in Table Bay or remain at our mooring. You also have the option to reschedule your Sunday Sundowner & Dinner Cruise to another weekend when the conditions are more favourable.
Meat Platter
The canapé platters are freshly prepared by two inspired V&A Waterfront restaurants, Balducci and Karibu. Variants of meats, sushi, seafood, and vegetarian content are included in these delicious platters, sure to suit most palates and preferences.
